Process: remote welding using the Remote Welding System (RWS) Industrial sector: automotive Material: steel Other notes: Rofin’s RWS is a system that uses a single gimble-mounted mirror with long focal length lens assembly to dynamically deflect the laser beam to spot stitch or seam weld. The principle advantage of this technology over robot or Cartesian motion systems is that the ‘dead’ time between welds is vanishingly small.
